PERSÉVÉRANCE

On-board documentary reporting aboard Persévérance, the expedition vessel of Jean-Louis Etienne, during a two-week mission in the Arctic winter. Conducted alongside Jean-Louis Etienne and Professor Hervé Glotin, the project documented a unique acoustic phenomenon in northern Norway, where multiple marine mammal species converge within a confined habitat. The resulting soundscape, shaped by feeding activity, forms a rare and powerful composition, described as a “the Symphony of the Old World.”
